Accessibility statement
Our clients live with acquired brain injury and related communication needs. Making this site, and our services, usable for them isn't optional.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the same standard the Australian Government uses for its own websites. That covers things like sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive alt text for images, captioned video, readable fonts, and clear page structure.
What we've done on this site
Plain-language copy throughout. Semantic HTML: real headings, real navigation landmarks, real form labels. Alt text on every meaningful image. Responsive layout that scales to phones, tablets and large screens. Lazy-loaded video so pages stay fast on slow connections. Generous text size and line height. Visible focus styles for keyboard users.
What we know is still in progress
Some of our videos do not yet have synchronised captions or transcripts. We are working through them. Some YouTube embeds rely on YouTube's own accessibility settings, which we don't fully control. If you spot something that's hard to use, please tell us, see below.
Accessing our services
If you need information from this site in another format (large print, plain-text email, read aloud over the phone), we will provide it. If you'd like to talk to us before making a referral, or want a support person, family member or carer to be part of the conversation, that's welcome.
Tell us if something doesn't work
If any part of this site is hard for you to use, please get in touch. Email rebecca@cusp.social or call 0435 230 365. We will respond within five business days and work with you to provide the information you need.
This statement reflects our current practice and intent. We will update it as we improve the site.
